Mr. Optimize, the disconcerting story behind the name
Maybe it sounds like a joke. But trust me: this is deadly serious. It's my nickname. A nickname you get because you are always working on making systems faster, making processes more efficient, or reducing cloud costs to a minimum. Optimizing. And yes - I do that too. Daily.
But Mr. Optimize is more than a pet name for an IT guy obsessed with performance.
For me, Mr. Optimize is an attitude to life. A way of thinking. It's not just about tuning and tweaking, but about the bigger picture: how do you make sure everything is right - technically and organizationally? How do you avoid waste, in time, money, energy and talent?
Because optimization is not just something you do. It's something you are.
And that's why I made my pet name an abbreviation to explain it even better. Who I am, what I do and especially what I mean to organizations.
